History and Biography - Ms Shelly Carpenter

I am excited to be back in Owen-Withee teaching science for a second time in my career.   I will be teaching 7th and 9th grade science, Anatomy and Physiology, Science II and Astronomy. I was born and raised on a dairy farm in Owen. I graduated from UW-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Science degree in education in 1994.  I received my Masters Degree from UW-LaCrosse with an emphasis in professional development in 2003.  My certification encompasses grades 6-12 with a focus in Life Science and Psychology. My instructional background includes teaching Biology in Barron for two years, Science 9 and Science II at O-W for one year, again biology for 15 years in Abbotsford and last year I taught Accounting, Medical Terminology, Psychology and STEM at Newman Catholic Schools. I currently live in Abbotsford with my three children, Elli, Hunter and Mason
